Problem with a 2000 Jetta. Posted by manual-mecanica
I have a 2000 Jetta, and in the mornings when I put it in first gear and accelerate, the car starts off fine, but as the RPMs increase, it seems to slow down, and then I have to shift to second gear for it to respond.
If anyone has an answer to my problem, I would appreciate your opinions. Thank you very much.

It could be the fuel pump that has lost pressure or the pressure regulator is broken; you just need to check the pressure.
