Jetta A4 Cruise Dashboard Indicator - Published by manual-mecanica
HELLO EVERYONE MY CAR IS A JETTA A4 MOD. I had a 2003 car in a crash a few months ago, and they replaced the radiator and some other collision parts. The engine was fine, but now when we start it, the word "CRUISE" , and I don't know what it means. Also, when I listen to the engine, near the coolant reservoir, there's a small black box with three wires coming out. One wire goes into the engine compartment, and the other two go down. The problem is that there's a constant ticking sound coming from that black box, like "tap-tap-tap," and I don't know what it is. Can you please help me? If anyone has a manual with more information about my car, that would be great. So, for any other questions, be clearer, and mention the dashboard alerts.

Check the main cables; from what you're saying, it could be a loose or poorly connected cable. Pay particular attention to the ground cables going to the car body and those to the engine. Or, try connecting an auxiliary cable directly from the battery's negative terminal to the engine and see what happens.
