Motor change and Peugeot 605 box

Good afternoon friends, I am from Caracas Venezuela, my father has bought a Peugeot Model 605, but unfortunately the automatic box that it has has no repair, so they have suggested to change the engine and the box, that is, to place it from another car (Chevrolet Blazer, etc.), but we would like to be 100% of which engine and box are compatible with this vehicle, for which I would appreciate any help that you can supply.

Do not specify the type of engine it carries. It will surely be a V6.
There is a engine and equivalent change of Renault (they use in the same V &).

The others carry XUD engines of PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) and have compatible exchange boxes.

With American models there is nothing to do, unless you do a complete coupling.
