Do common rail engines have glow plugs? I had that kind of problem with a diesel without a common rail, and that was it. Another thing you should have checked is the starter motor; maybe the engine isn't turning over. Regards...

That's right, I forgot to mention the vehicle model; it's a Hyundai Terracan 2.9 CRDi Diesel. I don't remember the mileage.

For now, I'll try it with the information you've given me. I look forward to more comments with the details I've added.

The diesel fuel rail before the injectors has a sensor at the end. I disconnect it, blow it out with compressed air, and it starts more easily. If I disconnect the return lines, is the injector flow check done at idle or at high speed?
