My Daewoo Nubira is sputtering at idle. Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello everyone, and thank you.
My question is the following: I replaced the pistons, rings, bearings, valves, gaskets, etc. Basically, I did a partial rebuild on my 1999 Daewoo Nubira 1.6L,
but now, after reassembling it, it's shaking excessively at idle.
The timing was checked and it's correct. Could it be a sensor? Please, I don't know what to do.

Thank you

Check the revolutions; they should be at 800 or 850. If it's lower, the IAC valve may be out of adjustment or not working.

The one I had wasn't working, because when I started it, the engine would stall. I replaced it and it worked (it didn't shut off), but the engine is still shaking.
The mechanic said it could be the ignition coil.
Could that be the problem?
Thanks

It is related, but I recommend starting the engine and disconnecting the wires one by one, checking for spark. If disconnecting one of the wires produces a spark but the engine's performance doesn't worsen, then try changing the spark plugs. That should rule out the spark plugs and wires. Try it and let us know.

I changed the oxygen sensor and it improved quite a bit, but now I've noticed that the "shuddering" only starts when the temperature reaches its operating temperature (90°C). Before that, it runs smoothly.
This all started when the piston, rings, and bearings were replaced.
But I have a feeling he messed things up with the hoses.
He started replacing them and didn't put them back in the correct position... that could be why.
But the strange thing is that it only happens when it reaches operating temperature (90°C).
Thanks
