Hello everyone.
I have a problem with a 1996 Neon, 4-cylinder, dual overhead cam engine. It was brought to me because it hasn't started since the cylinder head was replaced. So far, I've checked the timing, and it was set for a 2.4 engine. I corrected it by flipping the camshaft gears, but there's still no spark from the coil. The crankshaft position sensor is working correctly; it's receiving power and cutting off the current when the pulley moves, so the signal is reaching the computer. The coil is working fine because I put it in another Neon, and it started normally. The computer is sending power to the coil, but what I checked in its wires is that it's not sending the signal to cut off the current to the coil. I thought the computer was the problem, but when I installed it in another Neon, it started...
so I haven't been able to diagnose this Neon that's not getting any spark. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you.
