As a first step, clean the idle control motor and its seat. It's located in the throttle body.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Chrysler Neon 2000
To begin with, this engine's idle speed is 800 rpm, controlled by the engine control unit (PCM). It's possible to increase it to your desired speed, but this will have consequences, such as increased fuel consumption.
As Jueja correctly mentioned, the IAC valve and throttle body need cleaning. I also recommend cleaning the injectors.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Chrysler Neon 2000
Indeed, 1000 revolutions is a lot for the idle speed of any car. Could you tell me where you got the idea of 1000 rpm?

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Chrysler Neon 2000
The problem, sir, is that there's a vibration in the steering wheel, and a friend told me the engine needs more acceleration, that it should be at 1000 rpm. When I manually accelerate it to 1000 rpm, the vibration disappears. That's why I'm asking for advice before taking any action. I've already cleaned the injectors, and it's still happening. I still need to check the IAC valve and the throttle body. Thank you very much, brother.
