I need advice! Mechanical problems

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Chevrolet C30. It's a 1986 model, the mechanics are very basic, but a few days ago the clutch master cylinder on the lower part of the transmission was damaged. I replaced the kit, and the problem got worse when the fork that holds the release bearing came loose. Okay, I already dropped the transmission, replaced the release bearing, clutch disc, and pressure plate—everything seemed fine! But today I put everything back together, and the clutch pedal is extremely hard and doesn't go down enough. The only thing left to do is replace the master cylinder, but I'm not sure. I've looked everywhere for the owner's manual for this car, but it's not easy to find!

Hey Hisidro, did you notice that the clutch plate doesn't leave the fan very flat? If that's the case, they tend to be stiff. This can be fixed by putting some flat washers behind, between the clutch plate and the flywheel. Don't make them too wide, or the clutch will stick. Well, it's a hint, try it or use it as a reference if it helps. Good luck.

Hmm, hey, I didn't notice that! You're right!!! That was one of my doubts at the beginning! As I tightened the fan, it kept closing more and more! But I remembered that when I took it apart, it was tightened quite a bit all the way! Which led me to tighten it anyway!!


I'm going to try with the master cylinder first! Because honestly, I don't want to drop the transmission again!!! If that doesn't fix it, oh well, I'll have to drop it again!!!!!!!!!
