Hi Richard, cordial greetings from Caracas, welcome.
1.- Well, there are many variables in terms of such a failure, you first have to make sure that the engine is ready, with this I want to say that the engine must have been well calibrated, that it is not presenting ignition failures, minimal, that when you accelerate it you were counted and returned to the value range that would be between 800 to 1000 rpm It throws mistakes.
2.- Pending with the alternator, since the current has to be stable (13 V ~ 14.5 V) to maintain the spark, since when applying a march in the box the engine has more work and perhaps that is why it does not endure.
3.- Verify the IAC, TPS, MAF valves, if necessary, this concerns point 1.
4..- You would have to ensure 100% that the electrical connections of the box have been cumbar, if the failure could not file the failure in that branch.
5.- Lift the car and apply the box with the wheels in the air, accelerate in the marches and if it does not turn off, this would check point 2.
6.- My opinion would first be discarding a fault with the alternator; Turn on the car, turn on all lights, windshield clean, radio, etc ... everything that requires additional current to see if it goes out, obviously if it happens you would already realize that it is a voltage problem.
With this I only give you a small orientation, sometimes the problems that one believes impossible are those of easier and obvious solution. It is difficult in these times to have an expert and honest mechanical workforce, but well here we are here to help us, I see that you are from Barcelona - Anzoategui, if you think I leave my number and exchanged ideas.
Good luck and happy afternoon.
