fire extinguisher published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello!!! I am new in the forum and I wanted to make the following consultation.
For a matter of security and because smoke began to leave inside my car I had to use the fire extinguisher (ABC fire dust) on the board, and the problem comes now, the electrician who repairs the car told me that I had to sell it as soon as I can because the dust containing the extinguisher is highly corrosive and that in a couple of months (winter) with the humidity of the environment, they would begin to corrod I leave very worried, this is that serious or I have some solution.
Thank you very much. Oscar

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Fire Fire Deputy
What he told you is true, the dry dust ABC is corrosive, but if you blow it or aspire, the problem ends. Now, if you choose to blow the dust, wear a mask and glasses, which chop the ball eyes.

Another thing, do you know what the fire started? the cause? Because if you know and it is properly repaired, it is worth, but if not ... it recharges the extinguisher just in case!

In competition two extinguishers are used, one by hand and one online, the hand is of dry ABC dust of 3 or 6 kg, and the line is one of CO2 with a remote trigger and through a electrovalvas select the extinction in the vain of the engine or inside the cabin.

It is used precisely because it does not leave residuous and because in extinction of fires of electric origin or flammable vapors it is quite good. (But it's expensive that you shit).

I carry a 3 kg of dry dust ABC and I hope I never use it.

All the best.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Fire Fire Deputy
Thanks for your answer! It leaves me much calmer.
Regarding what the accident caused, the mechanic told me that it was a failure in the board plate, so he had to change it. With the issue of extracting dust, I have a friend who is dedicated to interior toilet and today finishes cleaning it. Among all the consultation, talk to an instrumentalist, those who check that all the command and markers of the car work and told me something similar to what you repeat me. With the recommendation that so that I have fallen more quiet I use the car all the summer and arrived the winter (here days of high humidity) the entire panel would take out the board and clean it cable by cable in the case that some residue remained CO2 So today I will see how expensive it costs. Thank you again !!!!!
