Help with my Isuzu Trooper published by Manual-Mecanica
A cordial greeting for everyone, I find myself in a problem with my trooper year 1989 and that's why I ask for your help and knowledge to guide me. I have a trooper to which the engine change was made, originally it came with gasoline engine and was changed to a Diesel 3.1 engine a 4JG2 but since that engine the original box does not come with the 4x4 option it was decided to leave the original gasoline box.
The biggest problem I have is that now the box is giving problems and I have been told that it would be better to change it and not repair the box I currently have. They told me that maybe I could install a box of a trooper from 2000 to 2006 diesel that brings a 3.0 engine since it could be compatible with my 4JG2 engine.
Is there any possibility that this can be done?
And my other query is whether I must also change the rear differential to have a more consistent relationship between engine, gearbox and differential.
I hope you can help me with this problem I have.
Thank you so much
