Hi, transfer cases use ATF fluid, it's a red synthetic oil. In the case of Jeeps, use Valvoline +4. It's added through a screw that needs to be removed, and the same threaded hole serves as a level indicator. Therefore, the operation should always be performed with the vehicle level.
