Do you know what Skyactiv technology is? Published by manual-mecanica
The Skyactiv technology developed by Mazda (Skyactiv-G for gasoline engines and Skyactiv-D for diesel engines) involves the application of the "rightsizing" concept (opposite to the "downsizing" trend adopted by other brands), which aims to maximize engine performance while maintaining the same displacement. The following link provides information on the different techniques applied to engine systems for the development of this technology: buscadordetalleres.com/blog/que-es-la-tecnologia-skyactiv/

Manual-mechanical response on the topic: Do you know what Skyactiv technology is?
The conclusion I've drawn from that link is that it's just another Mazda marketing gimmick... As far as gasoline engines are concerned, the 4-2-1 intake manifold has been around for many years; the Opel C20XE already had it as standard equipment since the late 80s... like many others. The 14:1 compression ratio of the VAG group's TFSI system has also been around for a few years. Regarding diesel, it's referring to the components and controls of any HDI engine. Call it what you want, but they haven't invented anything new, except for the name "Skyactiv." (That's just my opinion.) Cheers!
