Diesel Fuel Pump for Clio2 1.5DCI 65HP. Published by manual-mecanica
Hi everyone, I need some help. I recently replaced the fuel pump on my Clio 1.5 dCi because the old one was checked at Bosch and they said it wasn't delivering enough fuel. The car was stalling while driving, idling poorly, and the engine was misfiring terribly. So, I decided to replace it using the timing tools. With the new pump in place, I manually bled the system until fuel came out of the nuts holding the injector lines. I tried to crank the engine, and it turns over perfectly, but the darn thing won't start. Does anyone know what the problem could be? It would start with the old pump, even if it was running rough. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Manual-mechanical response on the topic of DIESEL PUMP CLIO2 1.5DCI 65HP
Perhaps my answer is silly, but does the Clio 1.2 have an anti-theft device? I have a friend with another car; he had two '95 Opel Corsas. He swapped the engine from one that was totaled into the other, and there was no way to start it, which was strange because the totaled one started fine. Well, in the end, he had to swap the ECU from the totaled one into the other Opel where he put the engine. Maybe it's not the same, but as far as I know, many pumps have their function controlled by the ECU.
