2010 Chevy Traverse Repair - Posted by manual-mecanica
Hi! I'm new to this forum.
I have a problem with my truck, a 2010 Chevy Traverse. The check engine light came on two days after I filled it with regular gasoline and a 20-peso additive they offer at the gas station (I thought it was to offset the cost of the regular gasoline). About two days and 80 km later, the check engine light came on. I took it to the mechanic because it completely stalled on the highway and kept shutting off. They had it towed, replaced the injectors, and tried to start it, but the check engine light started flashing very rapidly and then it wouldn't start at all. It's like the starter is stuck; it won't crank or anything, just the light keeps flashing. Can anyone advise me, please?

Manual-mechanics response on the topic of repairing a 2010 Chevy Traverse
Take it to the dealership, as the car is in an emergency situation. From what you've said, it all started when you put in regular gasoline and the additive. Drain all the fuel and look for any signs of fuel alteration; perhaps the lambda (oxygen) sensors were damaged by what you added. Put it back in with the original gasoline and try it.
