Tachometer problems. Posted by manual-mecanica

Good day.
I have a 1994 Hyundai Grase diesel.
The tachometer works intermittently and then suddenly fails. Can anyone guide me on where to look for the problem

Manual-mechanics response on the topic of tachometer problems

Hi Convector, a wire comes out of the "W" terminal on the alternator, which is the one that sends the RPM signal. Check that the connection isn't loose, as that could be causing it to send a signal sometimes and not others. Cheers!
