Estimated:: Ohmy: serious problem of this belt cut, not only should you worry about the change of such a strap, you must also remove cylinder head to replace folded valves ....

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic tuning Renault Megane 1.6 16V 2002
Hello leog6, you need a draft user for the crankshaft (it carries a block plug near the steering wheel) and another to peel the rear of the trees (slots) if it is the mot. K4M or K4J comes in workshop manual that you can download in the manual section. As the fellow Mov1973 tells you, it is no longer only the belt, but also check if it has not folded valves ... (you will see the most sunk taques than the rest ..) and do not forget too, that if the "hit" piston-valve/s has been strong, there can be even some connecting rod I even "touched" its cap ... ahi is na !! That is said ... I wish you luck with this chamba that has touched you. Greetings!!
