Opel Vectra fault. Posted by manual-mecanica
Hi everyone, I have a 1997 Vectra and a yellow light has come on in the instrument cluster. It's an engine with a lightning bolt inside, but I don't know what it means because I don't have the owner's manual. The car has lost power and isn't accelerating properly. Could you tell me what it is? I've already cleaned the EGR valve and it's still the same. I would really appreciate any help.

That light means you have a problem and you need
to get it diagnosed to find out what the problem is, OK?

Manual-mechanics response on the topic of Opel Vectra failure
In a similar case to yours, this was a Vectra 19DTH. It turned out the lack of acceleration was due to the turbo not engaging; it was a faulty solenoid valve controlling the turbo. But in your case, you should have it diagnosed, as our colleague Minge advises. Cheers!
