engine called 5 time

I'm interested in information about so-called 5-stroke engines. What little I know is that it's a three-cylinder engine where only the outermost cylinders are powered, and the exhaust goes to the third cylinder, which compresses it and sends it to the other two cylinders. It's also turbocharged. I'm hoping someone can point me to where I can find more information, as I'm an older gentleman who still has a passion for mechanics.
