My Ford Ka's temperature light stays on. Posted by manual-mecanica
Could someone please help me with this? The problem is this: I have a 2005 Ford Ka. The temperature gauge reads fine, the cooling fan works perfectly, and everything seems normal regarding the coolant temperature. However, the temperature light on the dashboard stays on from the moment I start the car until I turn it off. What could be the problem? Please help me. Thank you.

You have several options. You can remove the instrument cluster and take out the bulb:) (just kidding, don't actually do it).
Or, go to the engine and above the gearbox, on the cylinder head, there are some hoses and a temperature sensor. Replace it and you're done. Or, if it's not there, it's sometimes in the expansion tank. Disconnecting the wire will turn the light off, and connecting that wire to the vehicle's chassis will turn the light back on, so you know it's the faulty part.
