I never have it, but if you change the pills and put the chibato cable the light goes out or porlamenos in Volswagen it is like that. No machine is needed to turn off the pilot goes out alone.

If you wear an electric parking brake you need a diagnostic machine to retract the pistons, but not necessarily the vag-com, there are generic ones that do it, KTS or Berton for example.
