I have a Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI 115 hp of 2005 and I don't know if it carries chain or strap.
Because I told me both things and I don't know what lifts.
Can someone help me?

Hello, your engine carries both strap and distribution chain each one fulfills a different function, but always the chain lasts much more than the belt

It is easy to know if the lid that covers the distribution is plastic then it is Correa if it is metallic or aluminum is chain.
