It starts and stops. Published by manual-mecanica
Fellow forum members, after so much struggle to find the problem with my 2002 Fiat Fiorino 1.3, I finally found it. Some of you might laugh, others might be surprised, but I wanted to share this as an experience since it was new to me (the gasoline had diesel in it, which wasn't noticeable at first glance; well, that was the whole stupid problem). Anyway, for me, I hope this helps both newcomers and veterans in this fun forum. Bye, friends!

Manual-mechanics response on the topic: starts and stops
A customer once had a similar experience.
He owns a Chevrolet LUV with a 2.8 turbo diesel engine. He lent the truck to a neighbor, and the neighbor went to fill it up at a gas station. The neighbor didn't know it was a diesel station, and it seems the gas delivery driver wasn't very knowledgeable either, so he put in 95-octane gasoline.
Some time passed, and then they called me because the truck was making a strange noise. We took the truck to the shop, and we found a strong smell of gasoline. We disconnected the fuel lines, and it was clear there was gasoline in them.
The unfortunate part of this story is that the fuel injection pump was damaged and had to be sent for repair.
It happens occasionally, but it's an isolated incident.
Best of luck finding the problem.
