VW Sedan, doubt with ignition distributor

Greetings to all and thanks in advance for the aid, the problem I have is in a VW Sedan to which the conventional ignition for an electronic one is changed, but when I check it I notice that the rotor points to the ignition terminal in the cylinder number one say towards the back and not in front as they usually remain, it is possible to take out the gear and arrow that move the axis of the distribution of the distribution Correct, will this affect the operation? I mean if I leave it so is it?
