Help with oil rod F100 4.9 posted by manual-mecanica
Hello, greetings to all forists, my query is the SGTE: some broke the oil rod of my F100 4.9 of my father, I welded with bronze a hook on the tip, but I find that when the original handle is missing it does not have a cap and does not fulfill the function of indicating the oil level precisely. If someone runs into this engine and is so kind to spend what is the length from the tip to where the original rod is full I will thank. The rod has recorded the SGTE CODE F1TE-6750-BA
1992-1996 Ford Truck 4.9 Engine Oil Dipstick F1TE-6750-BA
Thank you very much

It is not easier when you do the Service and leave it with the oil that carries the rod?

I would leave the engine with the oil that carries and took it as a reference of the maximum, marks the minimum and ready
