:) Good morning everyone, it's a pleasure to greet you. My question is about when I should change the coolant in my vehicle and how much coolant should be in the radiator. I have a 2003 Hyundai Accent two-door.

Hello, it's a pleasure to have you here participating.

I think that considering the model of your car you should change it anyway because it has probably been running inside the engine for more than two years.
This is the time period in which it is convenient to do it, but if you have a reference of the previous change, in your case it may be the original one.
Quality is important to prevent damage to the cooling system, so it's best to use an original part. I highly doubt you'll find one from Hyundai, but buy one from Peugeot, Renault, or any other original part available. They aren't much more expensive, and in the long run, they're cheaper due to the superior protection.

Manual-Mechanics' response on the topic Re: Inquiry
Hey bro, from what I understand, the coolant should be changed every year, but it has a two-year tolerance because after that it loses its properties and its function becomes less efficient. As for coolant, I recommend ACDelco premixed. I recommend it because, in my opinion, its antioxidant and lubricating properties are the most suitable for different types of radiators.

Check the thermostat too.

I hope this helps, and if you know anything else or if I'm wrong, let's stay in touch so we can learn more.
