ESR/ASR Out of service Xsara 2 published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello good people, I want to make a contribution to this system which was deactivated when I wanted, especially when I stopped the car in zebra or traffic lights and only rearmed when the car stop They said they consulted it with the central and after evidence and evidence and tests ... nothing!

Total that I solo realized the solution, casually clear, it turns out that putting the car back in my garage, he mussed me that when I stepped on the brake pedal, the brake light did not turn on until after a pair of centimeters of the pedal travel, total that the solution was to approximate the contactor so that the light is turned on as soon as the pedal stepped on and not replace it.

What happened is that the car switchboard made a mess because when it stopped the car if you need to step on the pedal, the switchboard was not a sign that the car was stopping since the pedal contactor was not operated and that is why the computer gave the message ESP/ASR out of service.

I hope this helps more than one because it gives me that I am not the only one who gives this failure ..., greeting everyone.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: ESR
Greetings CRA_77, good contribution, most problems can be solved if we capture certain details, something similar but more tedious happens with some automatic cars and the brake contactor, when you step on the brake and is not sensated by the ECU this does not release the box, which forces you to step stronger the pedal, it is like trying to stop a manual car without stepping on the clutch. Causes premature damage to the transmission axis.
