Honda Civic 1.5 DXI published by Manual-Mecanica
:( Good, if someone can help me I would thank you very much, .. The question is that I have a Honda Civic 1.5 DXI of the year 94 Canadian if I am not equivalent., D15B7 engine, .. the question of the scare is that it brings a limiter d rpm (normal) and when it reaches 120 mph it turns off, the current is fully cut until the needle goes back a bit and re -re -re -re -re -re -re -re -re -reached its march. Speed, the issue is that where the Information takes the ECU, for this limitation, ... and that is what I would like to know, to be able to free it .. !!! To whom I can help me, already a million thanks .. !!

Hello, that sounds to me in the absence of fuel to that speeds, fuel filter, what you know is that the slips have a filter in the pond that also when it is dirty limits the passage when more fuel is needed, it is carburetor or not?

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Honda Civic 1.5 DXI
Yes, I understand what you say, but the thing is not a fault, it is electric, the walk d one is cut when it reaches that speed, and two years ago I have it and it is always the same and always to the same veloc. If it were a filter obstructed by dirt, in these two years it would have already given problems and it would be too much coincidence that siempre at the same point was left without fuel, ..! I nose, m seems, it has to be something electric I think, ...

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Honda Civic 1.5 DXI
According to my opinion, it is not something you can fix by moving a cable or something, that is a security system that manufacturers put, either by a theme of fuel consumption, also to protect the engine from not exceed Factory parameters, a qualified person has to do it, because it could cause serious damage to the ECU, or in your vehicle, apart from that it is not recommended, because the vehicle was designed for that speed limit.
