combine oils? Posted by manual-mecanica
Hi Compas, I have a question to Miauto a corolla le mod. 2006, you need oil like half a liter, and my question is I can combine the types of oil because it only uses synthetic and I want to put a "natural to say" what happens is that I am a month after doing the service in the agency. Can this combination be made?

It is always good to use the same oil at the time of filling, or at least the brand in order to preserve the same oil manufacturing base, that is so that it is not cut or foam. I recommend using the same type of lubricant. greetings

You should not mix mineral oils with synthetic, you can have a serious breakdown.

If you are missing oil as 1/2 liter, you can continue to work until you touch the next change, otherwise you get synthetic oil similar to what is placed, that is, the same viscocity, brand, etc.

Check it daily the level, the min line should not decrease, otherwise you can no longer suck the pump with a good flow and could drag lubrication faults, better perform it the change of oil and filters themselves to avoid inconveniences, remember that by saving cents you go to the final to throw a monet.
Bye

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: combine oils?
In no way it is advisable to combine oils even if it is of the same brand must be the same number since each manufacturer gives chemical characteristics to each oil, and if two different oils are combined those chemical qualities will vary greatly and instead of improving the lubrication of the engine they will worsen it, that is like the blood type of each person can not be given any type of blood to which it needs it ...
