Manual-Mecanica response on the re: vehicles with positive to mass
Greetings, this issue is interesting, I had heard from this type of positive to mass system, among the virtues of this is that according to corrosion in the body of the vehicle, according to the positive effect of the body repels "dirt" so to speak. With respect to adapting a common alternator (I say communicate to the positive output, negative housing), it can be adapted but it is something cumbersome since it requires previous care, to explain how to mount it would have to electrically insulate the hous Set it, overcoming that stage the rest is easier to install. Another way is to "operate" internally the alternator to send through the housing, but that remains in the hands of experts in electricity or electronic.

The truth is that I have been wanting to do it for a long time, and I had heard of isolating the housing so that it does not make "mass" and of course I imagine that you have to change the diode rectifier bridge, right? Although it is of foreign forums especially of English MG cars and some Americans, people change the polarity of the battery and put it in the common way, negative to sheet metal. What do you think?

Greetings, when insulating it, you do not need to change the rectifier bridge, so it is isolated, so as not to have to change anything, now, with respect to changing the polarity, you have to take into account the accessories and electrovalves or solenoid that the machine has, for giving you an example, once they called me for a problem of a machinery that I did not want box), check it and detect that they had put the battery to the setback, that is, positive to mass and negative to the alternator, the same was damaged by the alternator, inverted the polarity of the battery again and ready, I release the machimbre, conclusion, the solenoid has polarity.
By this I want to tell you that first look what accessories you can burn when the polarity invests, such as reproductive radios, some electrovalvulas work the same if you invest polarity, others do not, which you can solve by investing the connection of it. The bulbs no matter polarity, they still light. With the tractor I don't think there is a problem of investing polarity except for that solenoid if you have it. Check and test with caution if you are going to invest the polarity, because the safest thing is also that the engine's direction is invested, due to the effect of the start. I miss that the machinery that repaires light without problems with the invertity battery .. I hope it helps you in something my experience. Greetings.

Easy Solamenete Change the positive diodes place them where the negatives and vice -llers
are not to isolate anything

It is interesting to invest the diodes, it would have to see what alternators that change applies, as far as I do the internal regulator does not support polarity investment. Suddenly those that are dynamo style that have that external regulator could work that change knowing how to connect it.
