Problem with a Corsa!!! Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello friends, I'd like to ask about a problem I'm having with my Corsa. It's a 2008 Corsa 1.6 City 8v MPFI. The problem is that it stalls at idle or while driving in any gear. It's been scanned with two different diagnostic computers and no fault codes have been found. The following parts have been replaced: speed sensor, idle air control valve, spark plugs, complete filters, timing belt, tensioner, and accessory belt. The ignition coil was tested and reads 5,000 ohms on all four channels. The thing is, we're out of ideas and haven't been able to find the problem. It's worth noting that everything replaced is original GM parts according to specifications. Today, while testing other things at home, I noticed that I touched a black wire coming from the center console in front of the injectors. The car, which was idling fine, suddenly stalled. This wire is black, and I followed it to the wiring harness that comes from the ECU and goes directly to the chassis under the instrument cluster. Near the ignition coil, there's a black connector that, when unplugged, caused the car to stop automatically. Inside the console, this wire has a slightly hard section. I touched it, but the problem didn't recur. Could this wire be causing the issue?
If anyone can guide me, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
