Hello friends:
who can help me define which is the best procedure to measure the compression in a car, some people propose that while the engine is given it it is convenient to remove the air filter and press the accelerator thoroughly. because? so that?.

From what I understand, the compression is the number of times that the volume of the cylinder can be compressed in the compression camera. R². H
where ¶ = 3.14; R = radio = half of the diameter; and h = cylinder height

Thank you for your answer, effectively the concept of compression is that, but I wonder about the procedure to detect if an engine has diminished its root compression of a shirt problem, rings, valves, etc. This to know how much is the compression it has at the time.

There is only one, you take a consumption and measure the compression, compared to the stamdes of your engine and it is over.

I forgot, what was stated in the previous comment, is not the compression, is the relationship of compression that is the number of times that the volume of the cylinder is compressed, they look like but it is not the same, thank you
