Volkswagen presents the seventh golf generation, which they say is "the best golf in history."
Volkswagen presents the world premiere of the seventh golf generation, a car designed in Wolfsburg based on the innovative transverse modular platform (MQB) that exploits its new potential to produce the best possible golf.
The new golf is more spacious, safe and comfortable. Its weight has been reduced by up to 100 kg, compared to its predecessor, which combined with its two new driving lines, reduces its consumption and emissions by 23%.
The significant improvement in consumption is due to the reduction of weight achieved thanks to the innovative production system. Regarding gasoline engines: the new Golf 1.4 TSI, with a power of 140 hp and the active cylinder management system (ACT), has a combined consumption of only 4.8l/100km (112g/km of CO2). In the Diesel version: TDI propellers start from the 1.6 of 105 hp that has a total consumption of only 3.8l/100km, and generates 99g emissions of CO2 km.
In addition, the new golf includes the proactive protection of its occupants thanks to the Pre-Crash system, the fatigue detector and the Front-Assist system, which has the emergency braking function in the city, and braking multiple series anti-collisions. The combination of both systems can avoid up to 25% of personal damage accidents.
The latest generation of the golf, a model that today has built more than 29 million units, advances to become one of the most innovative cars in the world.
