Volvo Trucks has launched new trucks with a range of engines ( Euro 6 ) ranging from the smallest 5 -liter engine for semi -saved vehicles to the 13 -liter variant for heavy vehicles. From the spring of 2014, Volvo will also have a Euro 6 and the I-Torque motor line for the 13-liter engine.
For semi -marked engines, D11, D13 and the future D16, Volvo Trucks retains its proven and proven emission control system, SCR (selective reduction catalyst). In addition, Volvo Trucks has improved the catalytic lining of its SCR unit and the ADBlue injection system.
Euro 6 regulations , the exhaust system temperature must be maintained at a higher or less constant level. Volvo Trucks , therefore, combines its SCR solution with non -refrigerated escape gases (EGR) and a diesel particle filter (DPF) in its Euro 6 D11 and D13 engines. The technological solution for D5 and D8 engines consists of a combination of refrigerated EGR system, particle filter and SCR.
