History of Juke-R
Juke-R was born as Concept Car in January 2012 in Dubai. With the mechanical base of the modified GT-R and covered by a much more muscular Juke body, the R became the sensation of YouTube where its fans base increased exponentially.
It was then that the history of its production began. Darren Cox, director of the Nissan brand in Europe explains that: "In Dubai, people excited the car and we received offers for the concept in the middle of the street! We could not disappoint those fans so that, with three firm reserves on the table, we acquired the commitment to build the juke in limited edition."
DESIGN AND TECHNICAL INNOVATIONS OF JUKE-R
The development then began to turn a concept into a model that could be manufactured and sold. Built by the RML competition team under the supervision of the Nissan Technical Center in Europe (NTC-E), the JUKE-R uses the mechanics and the suspension of the GT-R Support and a safety cage manufactured according to the requirements of the FIA.
The production version is even more powerful than the concept and has the 3.8 -liter and double turbo engine that develops 545 hp. This guarantees an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h. estimated in just 3 seconds and a maximum speed of 275 km/h. In addition, its design has been reviewed by the Nissan Design Center in London (Great Britain).
The general manager of the Design Center, DarrylScriven explains that: "We have redesigned the bumper and the lateral skirts of Juke-R, a process that would traditionally have been very long to have used real-scale models in clay clay."
Design refinements include better defined front bumpers, carbon inserts in front and rear air intakes and air diffuser and rear aerodynamic diffuser.
