Volkswagen presents a limited edition of the beetle inspired by Herbie , the well -known Beetle protagonist of Disney films.
Herbie, the most original and fun car in the history of cinema, will enjoy a special tribute with the launch in Spain of Beetle 53 Edition . Herbie has been the protagonist of several Disney films since 1968, the year she premiered with the "The Love Bug" tape.
The Beetle 53 Edition pays tribute to Herbie adapting its aesthetics to the 21st century. The unmistakable tricolor strip in red, white and blue, and the dorsal 53 in the hood and the inscription "beetle", will make it the center of attraction where it circulates. Also the Type One design tires in 17 inches blank enhance their image.
Inside, the glove compartment includes bands with special Beetle 53. This model will be launched exclusively for the Spanish market.
But who is Herbie?
Herbie was born in 1963 as a Beetle with human conscience, capable of doing everything that a car cannot do without someone behind the wheel. He is naughty, comic and can think and express his feelings as a human. Disney soon adopted Herbie and in 1968 she premiered "There goes that racing" (The Love Bug), in which this Beetle became a successful racing car. His trajectory in the cinema did not end here, but made 3 more films and numerous television appearances.
