Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: automatic tensioner
Friend depends on the automatic tensioner if it is Peugeot, or Ford, plus its operation is the same, you must have in Cueta that it is returned to a great speed when they release it and usually beate That it is generating noise, test and let us know, if it really is the tensioner is changed and now, but not to buy spare parts to buy is better to check.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: automatic tensioner
Thank you. Kikemec, already check the pulleys and turned them and what I observe is that little but repeated noise of the tensioner (low and rises very slightly and very fast). Now, it can happen if I use it and I ignore this, something else can be found and the other components (water pump, alternator, air conditioning, etc.) would work well.

If everything worked well until the strap is cut or left, or you never want anything, anyway if the belt is cut you will run out of hydraulic direction, without an alternator load and without water pump, you will realize obio and stop, but more than that it is not.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: automatic tensioner
Well I have seen cases where the strap is cut and lodged in the Damper, so they have done as wedge and the teeth of the distribution strap are passed, well, also walking with that noise is unpleasant, the option to change before you are a major failure is always more attractive, preventing it better than healing, hahaha greetings
