Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Yamaha Fz1 alternator

Alanzor wrote: Hello, I will try to get the diagram although it is difficult, the Japanese are very jealous with their own. At the moment I have proven that the circuit is open but there is resistance between each of them in all the convinations. Among the three cables that come from the alternator in all the convinations of about 14.00 k ohmios, the same ressence with the positive and 24 k ohms with the negative.
Thank you.

Hello, I have been investigating to locate the diagram and I have discovered that these regulators do not carry diodes and scr´s such as avitual regulators. These are composed as a man who has a motorcycle repair company (MC Motronic) has assured me. They have latest generation MOFAT transistors that work by field effect. These transistors cannot be measured as diodes. I have sent it to him and making a test of operation in his test bench for them to verify that it does not work in a stable way even if it works within a correct range 13.8/14.2V of load at 3000rpm. He tells me that this is already sufficient reason to think that this regulator is wrong and can cause the problem with the alternator. Thanks for your involvement and congratulations on your Fz6, I have a time, now I have a FZ1 like the problem

Great that you have found the problem. Damn Mosfet !! If you can get the circuit, we analyze it, the MOSFET must replace the thyristors I think.
Greetings.

Apparently these diagrams are very complex and have many more components than the regulatory atar, if I get it, do not hesitate to share it with you, surely you can teach me something, thanks for everything
