Chevrolet S10 1998 Chevrolet Light published by Manual-Mecanica
Friends I will greatly appreciate your help, I have a Chevrolet S10 1998 American (mechanical) truck and the light of the check on the board was turned on, I took out the negative of the battery and I did not go out, I put a scan and threw me the TCM fault code, according to the mechanic it was a sensor of the camshaft, I looked at it and it was good that it was bad that it was bad was the sensor of oxygen. But I didn't turn off the check's light. The TCM fault code, what does it correspond to? What will light the light? How do I turn it off?

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Chevrolet Light S10 1998
Good morning
referring to your problem I agree that it is a TCM code, but when it marks a code like that is because of the transmission and not because of the engine, however I do not throw the scanner any number? Nadamas TCM The truth is very rare and more than your mechanic, sensors, but well if you had more data to see what can be done.
Greetings Wilbert

It is true the TCM is a transmission fault code that also in some vehicles is turned on as a code that the battery is disconnected recently, it would be important that you tell us that it fails real presents your S 10 before moving forward because you abceive the codes are not very exact

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Chevrolet Light S10 1998
Actually, in the truck I do not have major problems apart from the discomfort that means the light of the check on all the time ...
I only notice that it is a little more spending, to say something, its performance is 7 km/l (in city) Motor 2.2, use benzina 95, maintenance and technical review OK.
Grateful for your comments and valuable help ...

Is it more spending since the oxygen sensor changed? Or from before?
