Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: motor temperature
You must use the thermostat so that the engine has its thermal balance, since the engine can be damaged if it is very cold as too hot (it is better to prevent than regret)
for example in cold: it is like leaving your house in the morning with the cold engine constantly accelerating it to keep the temperature you want quickly.
Hot example: the time will come that the engine is going to melt
for that is the thermostat to control the temperature of the engine with the refrigerant or coulont, in short that is summarized in the engine power, the thermal equilibrium of the engine (temperature control) and in turn that the engine achieves that temperature as soon as possible every time it is totally cold, achieving in itself the economy of fuel.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: motor temperature
Well, I already said it because I know that it is so from experience, because it has happened to me, there are engines that if the thermostat is removed they heat more because the water does not circulate through the radiator, it does so on the easiest side by not having short thermostat road as who says and returns to the engine, greetings to all from Uruguay

Friend If the thermostat is simple body you can take it out, if it is double it will heat up more, you can put it or not to put it is your decision if it is true that consumption increases but it is not so noticeable and it affects you more to driving than anything, you can try without it and then you put it when you walk everything well, you must be careful with that engine, the blocks are folded very easy if you pass many rabies.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: motor temperature
Well, not so, there is a trick that can be used, when you take out the thermostat, where it is placed there is a cavity that you have to cover, so that the water does not pass, eye the hole is in the lid, you have to let the water circulate to the radiator and not to the engine, it covers it with a wooden wood, I have done it many times many times
