Megane II accelerator potentiometer published by Manual-Mecanica
Thank you. First time I comment on the forum and it is to bother, the potentiometer that is at the megane II 2005 2005 standard accelerator base has been broken is a kind of triangular shape sensor in which an harness is connected (connector), the problem is that I see the very good potentiometer (at least out) I do not understand how it spoil Failure codes finally gave him (according to my mechanics, the fault does not detect the scanner), the problem is the price, more or less like 8000 Mexican pesos (600 dollars), and that does not take it to the agency, another of the inconvenience is that the piece takes about 10 days to surrender, my question now is if anyone knows if this type of pieces can be repaired, here in Mexico you repair you the computer of your car. Will it be the same with this piece?

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Megane II Accelerator Potentiometer
Hello strength10, look at the truth is that it is not good what your problem is, you spoil the TPS position sensor or the speed sensor that goes in the gearbox? What was the problem of your vehicle? Any of these two sensors are detected by the SCAner, the TPS have an internal reference that functions as a potentiometer that in general or in their common ones are three tracks, those of speed vary demolished from each other, in general there are sensors that can be repaired but it is not the best option they work well for a while and then they are missed again, and it is twice as much expense. Tell me well which is that you spoil you to help you.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Megane II Accelerator Potentiometer
Thank you for such a prompt response, look at the sensor that I tell you know him as accelerator potentiometer (he is stuck to the accelerator pedal) these have a label in which "CTS" is read is like a triangle to which the accelerator pedal is screwed
and in my case they took a long time to diagnose the fault because I did not come out in the Scaner. I have heard that a track is ruined inside, some say that this track is changed and ready and others that no longer have the problem is the price and that even in agency it takes a long time to arrive this piece, and they only have it in agency. On this page there is an advertisement of a business that says I get the piece but I have my reservations I will call them.
I remain at your service.

If the track can repair it, it would not open a problem in general, it is a conductive maternal line, such as the TPS and cut by use, it can be repaired if it works in the same form, it would not open a problem, until you find the spare.
