It is correct what Alge says you must be careful the ECUs can be bridged but only to obtain fault codes nothing more, if your vehicle has airbag and you can activate it so it is not recommended, now whenever a repair is done, you must prescribe the ECU, the fault is stored until you enlarge it and it does not leave the state of emergency prescription and it is already.

One question: what was the OBD diagnostic code that showed the scanner when they connected it?
