F8Q cylinder cover published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello friends! I have an express 1.9 diesel with the F8Q, the issue is that a month ago I returned from a trip and the distribution strap was neighborhood, Sele erased several tooth and this because it had a loss and bath in oil. The question is that I take the cover to do, control it and change all the valves, guides, plane and hydraulic test.
Since I put it on it, I have a failure that reveals me, when it is cold, it fails to fail like in 3 cylinders and smooths white this lasts approx. 1 minute then stabilizes and does not fail anymore, when on the route it goes to more than 100km tends to make a small failure like thug. Thought that the injection pump could be, I take it to the firefighter and this tells me that it is fine and that the fault is of the lid (it also finds it a rare fault) and when the hose from the air intake in the admission was taken.
Now I will take the lid again and take it to control again, but I have doubts about the oil that meets the admission.
I await your comments.

You gave the correct torque when assembling it? See that you do not have a fissure because that fault is characteristic when you filter water luck and keep me informed of what you find.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: F8Q cylinder cover
Hi Jal !! and thanks for answering !!
The torque gave it to him as the adjustment manual says, in degrees, with the water I have no problems it is more controlled if he heats and does not maintain between 80 ° and 85 ° at any speed.
The recent engine has 45,000km I made it a standard and never brought me problems until the La Correa neighbor multiple of admission (the engine does not smoke, the discharge does not ventea).
Could it be that the lid is gone away? And because it starts in cold failure, it smooths a moment and then stabilizes and is perfect? '

Thanks and greetings

Check the lid well in case there is any fissure, the white smoke is characteristic of water inlet in the lucky cylinder and communicate any novelty.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: F8Q cylinder cover
Dear friend, the failure and white smoke in excess in the game of your engine, it can be the following:
injectors in poor condition, they are discharged during the night and the excess fuel in the cylinders produces the smoke. The failure is maintained while the injectors have the work pressure with the injection and that they must maintain during the night.
If the oil in the multiple of admission is just that, without dripping, without turbo then that humidity is normal, but if there are drops and turbo the problem could be the turbo.
I would like to have more history of your engine since I do not know it for the numbers and in which vehicle is mounted. I hope I have helped you, greetings
