Dear Friend: The side game of the connecting rods do not produce noise, it only allows the oil pressure not to be lost and the pressure of the circuit will decrease too much.
The connecting rod metals that you changed apparently without disassembling the engine and therefore did not control pistons, rings and pins.
As you do not give other background of mileage or the measure that that connects has I think that your engine is broken down and the internal noises are because of that, pistons and distribution.
