Regarding the engine noise, I tell you that the same thing happened to me with a Samurai Suzuki. The problem was the camshaft, it had a wear that when the engine started it had a normal sound but when the engine was heated, a noise appeared like valve pounding.
The solution was to rectify the camshaft.
