Good, the matter is that I have a megane II, 2.0 gasoline engine, which does not turn on, that is, when pressing the button, the elaranque is activated but does not turn on. My dad went ahead and bought the gasoline pump which we changed, but nothing happens, it doesn't work. I would like to know if you have to make some kind of purge to start or if you have knowledge of a generalized failure of this car. I say it because in an occasion I spend with a Twingo that did not start and on the Internet I got the problem was a piece that lined an avioncito, I changed that and did not bother anymore.

The vehicle was presenting a fault because I was ignited, that is, the minimum went down a lot. For that reason it was that my Pope thought it was the gasoline pump.

Thanks in advance, and greetings from Caracas - Venezuela

Serial VF1BM050E5E147803.

Note: The pump is not working. that is, apparently, he is not arriving current. Well, take out the output hose or nothing comes out or anything sounds.

You could tell me the year of your megane, I do not exite any type of purge, since the precion of Busible is constant and is regulated from the gas tank, there is no generalized failure of this vehicle, the information you share with us is very poor, so that an internal combustion engine works three things, gasoline (fuel), oxygen (air), and Ignition that we produce it from a spark High voltage through coils and finally spark plugs.

Extract one of the ignition coils and place a spark plug, the spark plug must be tied or holding a cable pede Is there electrician?.

When you changed the pump you changed the gas filter, you already checked that it is not covered.

When you start you listen as if the start or turn of the engine was faster than you are used to listening, if so, they will check the band or distribution strap.

You need to know if there is a pulse of injection for which you are going to nese a diode lamp.

Please send me the information that I request.

First of all, thanks for answering me. It is a megane II 2005. 2.0l.

Oppressing the start, it sounds normal, let me check the other things, especially if the spark plugs give spark.

I keep you informed.

Thank you...

: Laugh: Friend also check if the Crank Sensor generates pulse, because if there is no pulse, the pump will not be activated, as well as the
ECU spark, the ECU has to know that the engine is rotating to activate the pump's relay

if you say that previously your car delayed in starting it may be that this sensor is failing or this having interference or crouse of information that enters the Ecu

wave, well .. As you say in the information you gave at the end, the problem is lack of fuel since the pump does not work, not because this bad, but because of the lack of current. As the previous comenterio says there are sensors that are critical and that inhibit the current that reaches the fuel pump through the ECU. I recommend that you start to check the fuses and the relay that feeds the pump, as well as the ectric connections of the rifle (sulfate or lazy cables). Also as important data most vehicles bring a safety system in case of impact that inhibits the current that feeds the pump, this device is commonly like a red button many times, and that can be located in the engine compartment or nearby of the rifle sector that is inside the room.

Good luck, greetings.
