General precautions
Disconnect the battery mass cable. Disassemble incandescence spark plugs to turn the engine more easily. Turn the engine in the normal turn (unless otherwise specified). Respect the tightening pairs. If it carries: mark the location of the crankshaft position sensor before dismantling it. Do not turn the crankshaft through the camshaft or other pinions. Do not turn the crankshaft or camshaft being disassembled the distribution chain.
Valve adjustment procedures
Procedures of valve
chain chain chains located at the rear of the engine. Requirements for disassembly/assembly of distribution chain (s): crankcase disassembly. Disassembly of the gearbox/of the thrust plate. Turn the crankshaft to just before the PMS of the cylinder No. 1. Tool No. T40049. Disassemble the crankcase shutter [1]. Slowly turn the crankshaft pulley to the right until the crankshaft lock can introduce [2]. Tool No. 3242. Disassemble the upper distribution tapas on the left and right side [3] and [4]. Disassemble the screw located in the position of the 5 o'clock in the pixing of the camshaft on the right side [5]. Disassemble the screw located in the position of 7 o'clock in the spotlight of the camshaft on the left side [6]. Make sure the balancing axis can be blocked in place [7]. Tool No. 3359. make sure that both camshafts can be blocked in place [8]. Tool No. T40060.
Note: If camshaft locks cannot be inserted, valves adjustment is not correct.
Block the tensioners of the distribution chain in the retracted position before carrying out any engine repair: push the plunger into the tensioner accommodation [9]. Enter a 3.3 mm pin to block the tensioner piston [10].
