Description of diagnostic codes published by Manual-Mecanica
Holas First of all I wanted to thank me for allowing me to be in this forum, once more, since I am new and I have never used this as an aid tool until the occasion came.

It turns out that I am studying engineering in automotive meconic, and the teacher has just passed a table to recognize the codes of ECM computers in every vehicle. Because of this, curiosity has entered me, since due to patent issues, you can alter all the codes of the codes depending on the type of brand, especially in the subject of computer4es and hydràulic transmissions, because I would like to know how feasible and effective it can be to use this table in real life, or it is only a bit more more of a grained rice that deliver the professors in our classrooms.

In advance, thank you very much

Manual-Mecanica response on the re: description of diagnostic codes
Hi Lalo,

these lists if they are a great help for the diagnosis of failures in various automotive systems, since they give a basic orientation related to the failures that a controlled system may have.

Manual-Mecanica response on the re: description of diagnostic codes
The codes were standardized with the second generation of computers on board the OBD II, this for the reason that legally cannot hide information to vehicle owners or force them to take them to the commercial house for repair, the table serves but eye, eyelash and eyebrow, this serves as guidance, in addition to new models you cannot obtain computer codes without a scanner. So little is the table, they are the same tables that you find in the Autodata, for example a P0300 code is fugitive current in a cylinder and so it will be in all models.
