Friends of MDM, I want to tell you that a couple of months ago I bought a nice Peugeot 406 of 2002, Bencinero 2.0.
I bought it with a problem in idle, that when lighting the vehicle being cold normal part, accelerated over 1200 rpm and goes down according to the temperature that the engine is taking. The detail is that it has abrupt CPM falls coming to stop on some occasions. This detail is mitigating as the engine takes working temperature, but does not disappear at all and when it reaches a traffic light or crossroads when hooking first and stepping on the accelerator, the engine is stopped again, although it does not always happen. Being on roads or highways, it does not present any problem, the vehicle looks good, it does not pull or have rpm falls, it has good acceleration and the fuel consumption is within the ranges indicated by the manufacturer.
I have plans to take it to a mechanical workshop to review and repair it, but first I would like to understand what may be happening to you, to have some idea of the reason for the fault. I have basic knowledge of mechanics and electronic injection, and less than having testing tools; for which I ask for assistance.
I am already grateful
greetings to the friends of mechanics.
