Ignition problem in Caravan 3.3 V6 published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello everyone:

I need all of you to solve a problem that I have with a Chrysler Caravan of the year 1990 Motor 3.3 V6 DIS igniting system.

The vehicle entry to install the gasoline pump since it was not working only with LPG. The original cables of the pump reach us power supply by or that we chose to feed it through the gas switch key.

The problem we had was that I stopped sending feeding current to the coil and the injectors because a thermal fuse had failed, after solving the issue we got spark and pulse in the injectors again, but from that failure the car did not want to start either in gas or much less in gasoline.

In both fuels, it began to present counter-explosions due to the admission multiple and still did not turn on, so we verified the synchronization of the engine and the teeth had been skipped, it was corrected, the engine has 150 psi compression in the 6 cylinders.

Now the problem I have is that if I have food in the coil and the injectors but for less than a second later the current cuts me, I already verify the CKP signal and if I have a signal but I am not sure of the CMP signal.

I don't know what else to do to the car. Please if you can help me it would be great

thanks

You have to check in your Shut Down relay two things a current that must be present all the time and one that you must have when opening the swicht. Your fault is very simple, start there.

I have already reviewed that current and effectively if I have current the subject is when starting that current is cut because apparently it does not receive the signal of the CKP and the CMP, I have already tried with the oscilloscope and apparently the CKP if it sends signal if it makes me wave when it comes to starting the engine what I am not sure is whether the waveform at the time of starting is correct or not. What I can say is that this sensor has an "eye" to regulate the distance from the steering wheel and I have it at the point where I give me wave because if I approach it or Alejo no longer gives me wave.

Thanks for the comment

So you comment I deduce that you know the issue then you will know that the Fuel Injection system is very simple if I do not remember your ignition current is a red or black green cable but it is green. To discard your CKP it is very simple, quitalo without disconnecting and with your swicht or closed circuit or with your energized car pass to your CKP a secreta or charrasca or knife. I don't know where you are then changing the terms. Pass it at a reasonable speed and distance and you will discover that if it serves active your relays if the active logic that serves and if it serves ECM. Hopefully help you.
